A single paw stepped out from the depths of the den its owner had been sleeping in. The step was slow, tentative, though Kilio would never admit to himself or anyone else that he might be hesitating. No, he didn’t get scared, he never got scared. He especially wouldn’t be feeling nervous about the possibility of meeting all of his new clanmates.
And yet as the striped hyena cub made his way further into the camp, he felt a minor twinge of some feeling he couldn’t quite place. Apprehension? It didn’t seem right. He loved meeting new faces! He loved introducing himself! There had to explanation other than the underlying fear that he wouldn’t be accepted. It must be that he didn’t want his clanmates to assume his age. Yeah, that was totally it! He was maybe just a tiny bit smaller than he should be. Just a bit! But for some reason it made everyone think he was way younger than 6 moons.
Having successfully reassured himself that his fears were not what they actually were, the Kilio stood a bit taller, his fur ruffling up and making the fluffy hyena look like a tiny puffball. He would show all his new clanmates just how awesome he was! And he’d prove that Arcanepaw made the right choice in adopting him. He just had to be awesome.
Raising his head and puffing out his chest, Kilio let out an excited yell. “Hey! My name’s Kilio and I wanna meet everyone!” It wasn’t nearly as strong of a greeting as he thought it was, but he still waited eagerly for others to answer.

traaack droppin this kid here

Kilio's fur somehow ruffled even further in his fluffy form as Rimai spoke. He had said his name! Announced it to the whole world! It didn't occur to the young cub that there was a chance it had just been an automatic response on Rimai's part, not intending any offense. "My name's Kilio!" he repeated, a hint of frustration in his voice.
At Neonkit's introduction the hyena stared, amber eyes wide. Not missing much? Were most of his clanmates boring? If that were the case he guessed he'd just have to find the most fun ones. If finding fun was an acquired skill, then Kilio had no doubt he had it, although having a friend in the clan who was also good at finding fun couldn't hurt. "So what do you usually do for fun, Neon?"
-
Kilio hadn't even had time to say his next hellos before Neon and Felix began a sudden verbal tirade. His ears drew back and he puffed out his cheeks, the young hyena quickly growing frustrated in feeling ignored. Pushing his nose up high he butted in for a moment, his voice a squeak of indignation. "W-well I don't want any drugs. But I wanna go on an adventure with you sometime Neon!" He really hoped he would be able to. Kilio wanted nothing more than to go exploring the territory and find something really amazing! Surely he could, right?
His ears swiveled to the side as he heard Teagan and Ninja's greetings and he turned to face the two. He'd never actually met a bunny before, and especially not one with a pair of goggles resting atop their head. He'd also never met a cat with a horn, he supposed. His head cocked to the side in wonder before responding. "Hi Tea! Hi Ninja! What are those on your head for?" His question was mostly towards Teagan, though he wondered about the feline's horn as well.

Kilio's ears perked up excitedly at the sight of his father. "Hi Dad!" he chirped, returning the affectionate nuzzle. "I'm making lots of new friends!" As much as he was enjoying meeting the others, aside from the argument of course, it was nice to see his dad during his introduction. If there were any nerves left in the hyena, they dissipated upon seeing Arcanepaw.
Looking towards Tea, he said, "That's really cool! I bet you can invent a ton of fun things to use." At Neon's response to his request, Kilio couldn't help breaking out into a wide grin. "I'll definitely track you down sometime!" Neon seemed so cool, he absolutely wanted to be her friend! She probably knew where to find all the interesting things around the territory that adults would try to keep him away from, and that was the perfect kind of friend to have.

ahhh thanks for all the welcomes everyone!! (theyre all buried now lol but i did get to see them!)
how's everyone doin?

Hello! So Kilio's kinda new so I wanted to see if anyone wanted to have some plots with him. He's a 6 month old hyena cub and he's open to p much anything besides death and litters (I'm cool with crushes and serious injuries). He really loves adventuring and doing stuff he's not supposed to so if anyone wants to get him in trouble I'm all up for that. Otherwise I'm open to ideas!!

The howl was deep, resonating, worming its way into Kilio's ears even as he slumbered. The young hyena found himself waking with a jolt, the noise still ringing in his head. Now there was no way Kilio could hear that kind of wail and simply fall back asleep; no, he would find out what was going on! Jumping up from his curled position he swiveled his ears to find the location of the sound. It sounded like it had come from the direction of the medicine den, or one of the dens surrounding it. Who slept over there?
A chill ran through his veins. Could it have been Arcanepaw? There was no reason for his father to be in trouble. But the thought stuck with Kilio, he couldn't let it go. And he certainly couldn't let his dad be hurt by something.
He made his way to where his father slept, stepping quietly into the den. Amber eyes glowed in the dark as they rested on his father's form. He didn't look hurt, but someone else was here too, asking if Arcanepaw was alright. Kilio should check too, right? Padding up to Arcanepaw, Kilio offered a weak nudge to his father's muzzle with his own. "Dad? Was that you? Are you ok?"

This was it. This was officially Kilio's first adventure through the RiverClan territory since arriving, and the young cub was determined to find something cool. He still wanted to go adventuring with Neon, but he wanted to prove that he could find fun stuff on his own. Because he could! He totally could! Although at the moment he was finding mostly rainsoaked shrubbery, a small shower having just ended. There had to be more to this place than beaches and palm trees.
Stepping through a patch a foliage, a grin spread across Kilio's maw as he found exactly what he wanted. A large, swirling pool stood in front of him, the junction of two rivers creating a deep vortex. Now that was cool. The striped hyena cocked his head, wondering idly just how deep it could possibly be. Had the rain made it bigger than usual? Surely he could see the bottom if he looked at it from above, and then maybe there would even be something hidden in it!
Kilio glanced around him, head going still when he found a large tree with its branches hanging over the pool. It wasn't quite as far out as he would have liked, but it was good enough! And maybe it was better this way, since he didn't know how to swim and the water was probably still shallow where he would be observing from. He made his way to the tree, digging his claws into the bark and scrabbling up the trunk with his small paws. It was a bit more difficult with the rain making the tree more slick, but his fluffy fur managed to catch against pieces of bark anyway. It may have hurt, but it probably saved the cub from falling a few times until he reached more solid branches to hold onto. Good thing there were at least a few trees that weren't palm trees; those branchless fruitsticks were even harder to climb.
Finally he scrambled onto the largest branch, balancing carefully at its base and taking a few steps forward. He looked down at the sloshing water below him, seeing only gray. Was the water really already so deep that he couldn't see the bottom? That was ridiculous, he was barely over the edge! It must just be the reflection of the clouds that still hung in the air obscuring things. Yeah, that was it! Reinvigorated with false confidence Kilio took several rushed steps to the edge of the branch, freezing when he felt it begin to bend under his weight. Slowly, the cub shifted his eyes down, not even daring to move his head. The water was still completely murky and gray, clashing waves meeting in violent splashes.
It occurred to Kilio then that perhaps the small rainshower had, in fact, been more of a big deal than he had realized. He couldn't even think about how deep that water was at this point; all he knew was he had accomplished his adventure of looking at a dangerous pool from above, and it was time to inch his way backwards. Somehow. He would get there eventually. Or he could just jump into the water! Swimming couldn't be that hard, surely. Yeah, the waves looked awfully strong and yeah, there was no telling how far he might sink if he couldn't do it. But he had to have faith! A true adventurer always succeeded, and he would too. And how amazing would it be to tell everyone he learned to swim in a terrifying pool all by himself? He allowed himself a small smile, barking a short chant to himself. "I'm Kilio, the greatest Riverclanner ever!" Arcanepaw would be so proud of him.

Kilio found himself lazing just outside the RiverClan camp, lying on his back and staring at the clouds. So far he'd been able to do a bit of exploring, and he met some of his clanmates! But he still had no idea what to do in that moment. After ShadowClan had declared RiverClan enemies again, it seemed everyone was busy with the rivalry, leaving no one to hang out with. He really wanted to do something but he also was getting tired of being by himself. Was there no one who could go exploring with him?
It was all dumb ShadowClan's fault. What was so great about that place anyways? Why was RiverClan even worried about them? He could take those shadowcowards with one paw tied behind his back! Probably. Well, whatever, it didn't change the fact that he was stuck doing a whole lot of nothing. Letting out a frustrated sigh, Kilio grumbled to himself. "Stupid ShadowClan, what am I supposed to do now?" At this point he was so annoyed he wanted to trudge right over there himself, just to prove they were no big deal. Then everyone could pay attention to him instead of that dumb clan! although he didn't even know where they lived. The hyena cub drew back his ears, continuing to stare at the sky in boredom. Maybe someone would sweep him off his feet and rescue him from this lazy fate, but he wouldn't hold his breath on it.

Kilio had been so busy wallowing in his dramatic despair of boredom that he hadn't even heard the equine approach. Jumping up quickly, the hyena turned to Elixir and cocked his head to the side. An idea? Well, turns out his luck was with him after all! He didn't know Elixir well, but he had no doubt whatever his plan was would be better than cloudwatching. "Uh, right! I can keep a secret! What's the idea?" He prayed it was something really fun, something to let him show off how awesome he was.
-
Kilio's grin couldn't have been wider, showing off his full set of teeth, still a mixture of his cub fangs and permanent ones. "I think that sounds like a plan! We can totally make them regret crossing us," he yipped. He stood up in full, puffing out his chest to make himself look like a more regal and fully grown hyena, though he was still just a ball of scruffy cub. "Do you know where they live? Can we go now?" Now that he had heard the plan, Kilio could hardly sit still in his excitement. What a way to prove to his clan what he could do! And his dad too, Arcanepaw was going to be ecstatic! He'd be glad to have chosen such a great son, that was for sure. The striped hyena was already feeling happy to have met this new friend who had such amazing ideas.
-
Kilio felt his ears draw back a bit at Elixir's response. He didn't sound seriously angry or anything, but Kilio didn't want to seem dumb in front of his new friend. Especially when they were going to prove that they could do something great! Shaking his insecurities off, the hyena perked back up and nodded to Elixir. "Alright, let's go then!" Before any of the elder clanmates suddenly decided to start paying attention to the youngsters.
//yeah that would be great!!
